Campus Ministry

To enhance and strengthen the spiritual and religious formation of the students, the Campus Ministry is created with the Campus Minister, a catholic priest, as its Head. The Campus Ministry Committee plans the spiritual formation program for the schoolyear. An important annual event of the Ministry is a compulsory participation of all students in the Recollection which could be conducted by year level and a special one for graduating students.

The Knights of the Altar are volunteer students who undergo training to serve as assistants in serving the Mass and other activities of the chapel.

The Daily Masses. Everyday, a class is assigned to sponsor a mass. The designated class does all the preparation in the chapel and signifies the time when the mass is to be held. The schedule of daily mass is posted at the campus ministry bulletin to invite others who are free to participate in the Mass.

The Institutional Weekly Mass. Every Thursday at 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., all classes are free so that the entire school can attend the Mass. Everyone is expected to be at the chapel at the designated hour. Those who want to "escape" from the regular spiritual activity will be under investigation by their respective chair of the department.

Confession Schedule. Although a regulsar schedule for confession is posted, the Campus Minister can be approached any time if somebody wants to go to confession.

Spiritual Guidance. Any student or teacher or staff can solicit for moral or spiritual guidance from the campus minister. Appointments can be arranged for spiritual consultation anytime.

The School Chapel. The chapel is the center of the spiritual formation of the MDC family. It is open the whole time classes are going on. Everybody is invited to visit the Blessed Sacrament with loving attention to all your problems and burden of the day and find love, relief, comfort, and peace with Him.

The chapel is the house of the Lord, thus, students should not stay there to make idle talk. During official examination days, however, students can stay quietly at the chapel to study as long as no talking is done.

A special privilege is granted by the Bishop of Tagbilaran and the Parish of Tubigon that any member of the MDC family can wed at the chapel.
